How much does the football stats service with a personal assistant cost?
The football service is $149 per league for the
season. Our exclusive Evaluator Service is now FREE with your league. No reason not to put your feet up and let us do the work.
How do I set up or change my team password?
There is a link called Passwords on the left side of the league home page
under the Set Up heading. Click on that link and use that page to set up
or change your password.
Can we run the evaluator program (automated transactions) before the first week's games are played?
The evaluator program can run before the first week's games for leagues that
are using FAAB bidding. However, for leagues that are using "lowest
in the standings" the evaluator program can not run before the first games,
because there would be no standings to base the results on. If you use
"lowest in the standings" and you want to pick up free agents before
the first week's games, the league commissioner should handle the claims
directly and then enter the pickups himself.
Is it possible to use both the bidding system and the first come first serve systems simultaneously? For example: Use the bidding system for the day after the weekend games, and then switch to first come first serve for the remainder of the week?
There's no way to set up to happen automatically. There
are two ways to accomplish it manually, but both have some downside. One is to
give all the owners the commissioner password. They could use that during the
"first come first served" timeframe to over-ride the FAAB bidding
process. For example, you would set the league up for FAAB bidding with an
Evaluator Program run date and time of Wednesday at 2 pm. Before that time
owners would enter bids. After the program runs, for the rest of the week owners
would have to use the commissioner password to bypass the bid process. The
downside to that is that the owners would all have the commissioner password and
could use it to bypass the bid process even when they are not supposed to.
The second way would be for the league commissioner to
manually change the league set up after the program runs each week. For example
after the program runs every Wednesday the commissioner changes the league set
up to first come first served. Then, as soon as the games start (or whenever the
league deadline is to make free agent pickups first come first served) the
commissioner changes it back to FAAB. The downside to that is that the
commissioner has to do that work every week, and if the commissioner forgets to
change it or to change it back, it's going to lead to incorrect moves.
Can we carry over players when they have a bye week?
Yes, you can carry over players. There is a link on the left side of the
League Set Up area for Bye Week Carryover. Use that link to set yourself up to
use Bye Week Carryover. Then each week the players who have a bye the
following week will have a check box on the Set Line Up page for the team
owner to designate whether the player is being carried over.
Can we adjust a team's points?
Yes, the commissioner of the league can adjust teams' points
manually. The way that is done is: first go to the league set up area
and click on the link for Adjust Points. On that page set the league up
to use the Adjust Points feature. Then you will see a link under Making
Transactions called Adjust Points. Click on that link to go to a page
where the commissioner enters the number of points that should be added or
subtracted for each team.
How do I set a team's starting lineup retroactively?
Start on the league home page and use the Set Line Up pull down to select
his team, then click GO. When you first get to the Set Line Up page use
the Effective Week pull down menu at the bottom of the page to select the week
that you want to change and then click Change Effective Week. That will
re-fresh the page showing the lineup for the week that you want to
change. Make the line up changes that you need to make, enter the
commissioner password in the Password field and click SAVE LINEUP
CHANGES.
My league uses the Evaluator Service.
How do I add a player to a team and by-pass the Evaluator Service.
Start at the league home page.
Use the Lowest Claim pull down menu, select the
team and click GO.
The will take you to the EnterClaim.asp page,
with a pull down menu where you can select a player to drop from the team, or
leave it at NO PLAYER TO DROP. I think you do not want to drop a player, so
you would just click the CONTINUE button.
The page will then refresh and on the left side
will be a heading that says "Add to Claim List". There will be a
pull down menu with which you can select the player that you want to add. You
select the player and click "Add to List".
The page will then refresh and the player you
select will appear under the "Players to Claim" heading.
You then enter your commissioner password in
the password box on the right side and you check off the "BY PASS
EVALUATOR" box. Then click the "Submit Claims" button. That
will put the player on the team.
In our league, owners draft
head coaches and coaches are awarded or deducted points based on a win or loss
and margin of victory. How do I handle this on the web site?
You would do this by drafting Offensive Teams. Then, in the League
Scoring Set Up area you can click on the link for Offensive Teams and use the
Margin of Victory scoring category.
I am in a baseball and football league with
Allstar Stats. Is there a way I can log into both sports without looking for my
football league? Can I have it set up that when I go into the site that
both leagues pop up immediately?
Yes, you can have both leagues set up under your Personal Account ID.
You would go to your Personal Home Page and add the leagues to your list of
leagues. Then both leagues would appear on the Allstar Stats home page for you.
How do we break ties?
You do not enter into our system the exact rules that your league uses to break
ties. Instead, the commissioner of the league can access a page on the
site where the commissioner can award an additional point to the team who should
win the game according to your league's tie breaker rules. You do this by
first going to the league set up area and clicking on the Adjust Scores
link. Set up the league so you can adjust scores. Then you will see
a link on the league home page to adjust scores. Click that link and you
will go to the page where you can add or subtract points for the teams.
My league wants to have points for blocked punts, but we don't use special teams. Can we use blocked punts in scoring without using special teams?
The way our system is set up, blocked punts is a special
teams score. So, if your league wants to use blocked punts you have to use
special teams. You can use special teams and make that the only scoring that
they have.
Can I set up roster requirements like how many starters a team is allowed and how many players are allowed to be on each team?
At this time our service does not handle setting up roster size requirements. It is up to each commissioner to monitor that.
How do I set up my playoffs?
You set up the playoffs by simply leaving the playoff
weeks blank in your league schedule. Then when you reach playoff time, the
commissioner of the league figures out what the match-ups should be and plugs
those into the schedule. If you want to have the non-playoff teams have
their scoring calculated for the playoff weeks but you don't want to give those
teams wins and losses those week, make each of those teams play itself those
weeks.
Can I set up my own deadline for trades, transactions,
and setting lineups?
Yes, you can set your own deadline. You use the League Set
Up section and click on the Deadlines link.
Can we play doubleheaders?
Yes. You would go to the League Set Up area and click on Doubleheaders to
set that up.
I want to give "Bonus Points", how do I do
that? For example, field goals are 3 points per field goal with field
goals 45-49 yards getting 1 bonus point and 50+ yards getting
2 bonus points.
You award bonus points by incorporating
them into the ranges that you set up. For this example with field goals,
you would set up the scoring as follows:
1 to 44 yards = 3 points
45 to 49 yards = 4 points
50 to 99 yards = 5 points
Can you score rotisserie-style where we simply compile
stats in different categories and 1st place gets 10pts for a category, 2nd gets
9 pts, etc..
No, we don't have rotisserie scoring in football. The scoring is done by awarding a certain number of points for various things - touchdowns, rushing yards, field goals, etc. You can then
have the standings baed on the total number of points each team accumulates, or you can play a schedule of head-to-head games.
